Safety & Handling Notices
Safety & Handling Notices
Important guidelines for the secure unboxing, age grading, and long-term protection of your collectibles.
Choking Hazards & Age Suitability
Many of our specialized hobby products contain minor mechanical inserts, poly plastic card sleeves, sorting dividers, gameplay counters, or small metallic gaming dice inside the master boxes.
- Small Parts Warning: These individual items pose severe choking hazards to young infants and pets. Keep all loose accessories out of reach of children under the age of 3.
- Recommended Age: Unless explicitly noted by the individual manufacturer label (such as Topps or Panini), standard trading card collections are intended for users aged 6 or older.
Safe Unboxing & Handling Awareness
Opening sealed master hobby configurations involves encountering tough outer materials. Take careful consideration during physical teardowns to prevent injury:
- Foil and Paper Edges: Premium thick-stock card layers, chrome cards, and compressed aluminum booster packs can feature rigid, sharp perimeter cuts capable of causing painful finger abrasions or deep skin slices. Handle crisp card corners with caution.
- Tool Warning: If you utilize precision blades or box cutters to slice through heavy outer factory shrink-wrap or security tape, always cut outward away from your hands to prevent puncture slips and avoid lacerating the premium box surfaces beneath.
Asset Preservation & Storage Environmental Safety
Protecting the underlying card materials from physical structural degradation prevents dangerous organic reactions or warping which impacts underlying card surfaces over time.
- Moisture & Mold Prevention: Always store your card boxes and loose sleeves inside highly arid, cool environments. Damp basement storage channels or spaces with excessive moisture build-up can induce mold spores which permanently spoil collection assets and compromise breathing environments.
- Thermal Conditions: Do not position valuable hobby boxes close to open space heaters, active fireplace mantels, or inside automotive trunks during peak hot seasons. High extreme temperatures can cause localized cardboard warping and fuse underlying clear glossy gloss layers together.
- UV Degradation: Prolonged contact with raw direct solar glare will fade deep color saturation ink fields on display boxes and singlets. Implement UV-resistant protective covers when presenting inventory publicly.
Proper Disposal of Packing Elements
The dense synthetic film wraps and outer poly bags utilized to shield raw shipping packages during domestic freight transit represent immediate containment risks if left unmanaged.
Please immediately discard or safely recycle all thin factory plastic wraps, protective bubble cells, and outer poly bands upon cargo breakthrough to completely mitigate accidental suffocation hazards around toddlers or companion animals.
